The Harrington Bindery

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me and my books. I took a trip to the Kings County Clerk's office in downtown Brooklyn and officially registered The Harrington Bindery with the city. This is the first step in becoming legal, registered and most importantly getting the correct resale documents together. Even though I am a very small bindery, operating out of my apartment and as a second job to fit in around the hours of my 'real' job; its important for me to start forming relationships with wholesalers, to make sure I have access to the best materials. Besides, there wasn't any downside. Next steps, getting a business bank account, then registering with the state to collect sales tax.
